About DEPCO Farms

DEPCO FARMS, INC. is a closely held family corporation which was created by Davie E. Powell in 1972.
The original assets of the corporation consisted of farm land, irrigation wells and equipment located in Kit Carson County, Colorado which were owned jointly by Floyd G. and Davie E. Powell. Floyd passed away in 1969. Three years later Davie transferred all the farm property she owned in Kit Carson County to the corporation. Over the years, by reinvesting profits and paying only modest annual dividends, DEPCO has more than doubled its original real estate holdings. Ownership of DEPCO stock is limited to the heirs of Floyd and Davie Powell. Through gifting, sale and inheritance, shareholders currently include the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren of Floyd and Davie.
